Client survey: 100% say we’re helping them achieve their financial goals

If you have clients who have worked with us, or are working with us, you may already know how seriously we take our pledge to provide excellent advice and service.

While we were named as one of the top 100 financial advice companies in the UK by New Model Adviser in 2021, and a 2022 VouchedFor Top Rated Advice Firm, we do not rest on our laurels.

That’s why we recently sent questionnaires to all our clients asking them to tell us about our service, our company standards, and the quality of advice provided. For us, it’s vital to hear what those we work with have to say, as it helps us build on the high levels of service we already provide.

Read on to discover the positive feedback we received from our clients, which could include some of those you work with.

100% of clients said working with us has, or will, help them reach their financial goals

One of the most important pieces of feedback was that 100% of clients told us that working with us helped, or will help, them to achieve their financial goals.

Furthermore, all of our clients said they would recommend us to friends and family, with 60% saying they had done so in the last year.

While this is important as it helps us build our business, it also provides the Ardent team with a morale boost, as it shows our clients trust us and believe in what we do.

More than 98% of clients said they were happy with our performance

A key measure for us is satisfaction levels, so we couldn’t be happier that almost every client reported high levels of satisfaction with our service. Here’s what they said:

  • 100% of clients were satisfied with the speed of response from their adviser
  • 100% of clients were satisfied with the speed of response from our support team
  • 98.31% of clients were satisfied that we understand their needs and objectives
  • 98.31% of clients were satisfied with our communication between meetings
  • 100% of clients were satisfied with their annual reviews.

While we are thrilled with these numbers, as some scores were less than 100% there is room for improvement. This is something we’re already addressing.

Where the scores were 100%, we will still build on the high standards clients have come to expect.

We asked clients which issues were most important to them

As part of the survey, we wanted to discover the areas of discussion that are most important to clients. They told us the three topics were:

  • Discussing long-term financial plans
  • Investment performance since their last review meeting
  • Updating us on changes to their financial and personal situation.

Understanding this means we can better understand our clients’ needs, so that we can bear it in mind for future meetings. That said, as each and every one of our clients have different priorities that are unique to them, we will always consider these too.

Retirement provides challenges we can help clients with

The survey also provided an opportunity to discover the different financial concerns of clients who have retired, and those who have not yet done so. We wanted to establish whether there were similar priorities and concerns for both groups.

The biggest concerns for those who have not yet retired were:

  • Not having enough money to live their preferred lifestyle in retirement
  • Not having enough money to retire at their preferred retirement age
  • The level of investment returns.

The main concerns for those who have retired were:

  • Not having enough money to continue living their preferred lifestyle in retirement
  • The cost of care in old age
  • Giving their wealth to younger generations.

As you can see, both categories had concerns about their lifestyle in retirement, which highlights the importance of starting the proper preparation as early as possible. It was also good to see that many of our clients are considering the cost of care in old age and how best to pass wealth to younger generations.

Peace of mind is the biggest benefit of working with us

Last, but by no means least, we asked clients: “What is the biggest benefit you get from working with us?”

  • 30% of respondents referenced the peace of mind we provide
  • 28% of clients of people mentioned the financial security and advice we provide
  • 89% of clients appreciated our understanding and the reassurance they receive from working with us.

Discovering we provide peace of mind and reassurance to more than half of our clients was great to hear. All that said, we believe that the positive feedback we received is a foundation to continue building on, which we are committed to going forward.
