“No two days are the same, and I enjoy being involved in both the client journey and the growth of the business.”

“I joined Ardent Financial Planning in December 2022 after completing my A Levels and spending time working for a large retail chain. I was looking for a role where I could develop my skills, build a career, and gain professional qualifications, and Ardent provided exactly that opportunity.

My first position was as an Apprentice Client Administrator, alongside studying for a Level 3 Business Administration Diploma. During this time, I learned how to welcome and support clients, prepare reports for Forward Planning Meetings, and work closely with the wider team to ensure clients received a great experience. The apprenticeship also helped me grow in confidence, particularly when communicating with clients and colleagues.

After successfully completing my Diploma in April 2024, I progressed to the role of Junior Client Relationship Administrator. This gave me greater involvement in the financial planning process and the opportunity to take ownership of managing our social media platforms, allowing me to develop both my client service and marketing skills.

In April 2026, I moved into my current role as Marketing & Business Administrator. Today, I lead our in-house marketing activities, helping to promote the business and communicate with clients and the wider community. Alongside this, I have received training in the operational side of the business, including reconciling accounts and processing invoices, giving me a broad understanding of how all areas of the business work together to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients.

A typical day in my role is split between supporting our clients and managing Ardent’s marketing activities. On the client side, I help organise meetings for our advisers, prepare reports and documentation for client reviews, and support the wider team to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Alongside this, I manage our in-house marketing, create content for our website and social media channels, plan campaigns, and look for new ways to promote Ardent and engage with our audience. The variety means no two days are the same, and I enjoy being involved in both the client journey and the growth of the business.

I love my job, which is testament to the support and encouragement I continue to receive from my colleagues. I feel incredibly privileged to have been given the opportunity to learn from a truly fantastic team who care deeply about what they do and are always willing to share their knowledge and experience. As I’ve developed within the business, I’ve been given opportunities that play to my strengths and interests, allowing me to build my confidence, take on new responsibilities, and progress into a role that combines the areas I enjoy most. The support I’ve received has enabled me to grow both personally and professionally, and I look forward to continuing to develop my career as part of such a collaborative and supportive team.”
